Deliciousness

I'm reading articles from the New York Times online and just came across this one on "Molecular Mixology". I may be a super picky eater, but I tend to get more experimental with my mixed drinks. I'd love to try some of these drinks, like this Globular Cape Codder from WD-50, or the Mojitos they describe. To quote Rachael Ray, Yum-O!!! Then again, I shouldn't expect to find any of these drinks near me anytime soon. I can't even find a bartender who can make a daquiri without the aid of a premade mixer.

OK, I know Char has more clothes than humanly necessary - I've been good & haven't shopped for new stuff for her really since the late summer / early fall. I went to Old Navy looking for some dresses and had to get her the cutest little outfit - a pink peasant blouse with floral embroidering around the neck, a long white peasant skirt, and - gasp - a little denim jacket. It is so darn cute on her!! I bought the jacket a size big so a) it will last longer & b) its nice & baggy & I can roll up the sleeves all retro like. I'm in denial, because I'm dying to get a denim jacket (so I can relive those glory days of the 80's... rolled ups sleeves, collar up, and a gazillion pins on the lapel...). This would have been perfect if they had made them in Mommy sizes. I'll have to settle for living vicariously through my daughter's wardrobe. She LOVES this outfit and threw a fit on me in the dressing room when I went to take it off so we could buy it. She as a matter of fact was so cute, trying on all this stuff for me at the store, checking herself out in the mirror, and OK'ing or vetoing stuff. Too funny, until her screams of protest started ricocheting off of the polished concrete floors in the cavernous dressing room area! I'll have to post a picture when I get one.

I watched an episode of The View yesterday. It's not my usual morning habit, but Harry Connick, Jr. was on promoting The Pajama Game, and I had to check him out!). They were talking about last minute gifts you could still buy your Mom for Mother's Day, and featured this little number. Nothing says I love you Mom like giving her embellished rubber gloves. The site it was found on, A Nifty Gift, is rather cute. I found this cow print purse and had to laugh. Who can see the cow spots on it anyway? It should be called the chicken feather purse instead.

Off to watch Lost - supposed to be a good one!
